This NZ summer has been so hot and recently very humid, so all things cold are in order! Whenever I need a refreshing and cooling snack or dessert nice-creams are always high on my list. So if you're a dairy-free ice-cream fan then you will love this way of satisfying your ice-cream cravings. You can also jazz this recipe up and make it a delicious banana chocolate treat by adding 2 tbsp raw cacao powder.

Ingredients:

 1.5 frozen bananas
  cup cup coconut cream
 Pinch of sea salt
 ½ tsp cinnamon
For the Chocolate Sauce:
 1 tbsp coconut oil
 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
 1 tbsp maple syrup

Method:

1

Add banana, coconut cream, salt and cinnamon into a high-speed blender and blend together until it forms a thick creamy consistency. Eat immediately, or place in the freezer for 1-2 hours for a firmer consistency.

2

To make the chocolate sauce add all ingredients into a small saucepan and melt together over low heat, mix until well combined.

3

Pour the chocolate sauce over the banana and enjoy!
