Happy 5th birthday to my friends at Nuzest! To celebrate I made a delicious cacao mint smoothie bowl using their new Just Fruit & Veg plant-based protein powder. This cacao mint smoothie bowl is thick and creamy; tastes like a chocolate chip milkshake and is packed with all the goods to nourish your body and keep your energy levels high. It's the perfect breakfast, afternoon snack or post-workout treat.

Tip: Make sure your bananas are frozen for the ultimate creamy texture. I like to get my bananas extra ripe, then peel them and stick them into a container to freeze. You can also slice them before freezing if that is easier for you!

Ingredients:

 1 sachet cacao mint protein powder or 1 serving chocolate protein powder
 1 tbsp flaxseed oil or coconut oil
 1 tbsp chia seeds
 1 large frozen banana
 ¼ cup raw cacao nibs
 6 fresh mint leaves
 1 handful of spinach
 ¾ cup coconut milk
 3-4 ice cubes
 Toppings: raw cacao nibs, coconut flakes, fresh mint leaves

Method:

Place all ingredients (except the toppings) into a blender and blend together until smooth.

Pour smoothie into a bowl and top with raw cacao nibs, coconut flakes, and fresh mint leaves. Enjoy!
