Looking for a different smoothie combination to try? I highly recommend giving this one a go, trust me you will love it. The combination of blueberries, raw cacao and coffee beans is incredible and each sip tastes creamy, smooth, rich and chocolaty.
The best part is that it literally takes no time to make super high in antioxidant's, which are needed by the body to help protect cells against free radical damage.
I've been enjoying this smoothie for breakfast lately as it contains caffeine, if you are not sensitive to caffeine it would be a delicious afternoon pick-me up. This recipe uses coffee flavoured protein powder, however if you don't have this flavour it can be substituted with chocolate.
• 1 heaped tablespoon raw cacao powder
• 1 scoop coffee/chocolate protein powder (I use Nuzest)
• 4 fresh organic coffee beans
• 1 cup frozen blueberries
• 1 cup coconut cream
• 1/2 cup water
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
(optional - swap the coconut cream for a non-dairy milk alternative and add 1/2 an avocado to maintain the creamy texture).
1. Add all ingredients into a blender, whizz together until smooth. Pour, sip, enjoy!
