Currently I’m in week 2 (day 9) of my 14-Day Restart Plan and I’m already feeling ahhmazing, so much lighter, more alert, energetic and finding it much easier to get out of bed in the mornings. I too enjoyed a few more wines, cheese and crackers and ice-cream than normal over the holidays, which is why I’m doing my 14-Day Restart Plan, I really wanted to start nourishing my body again with whole foods so I could feel vibrant and mentally focused once again. I thought I would share a day on my plate with you while on the plan so you can get an insight into what foods you would be able to enjoy whilst being on one of my programs or working with me.
One BIG glass of warm water with 2 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar.
My Go-To Breakfast Smoothie. This has been my go-to breakfast smoothie for years! I absolutely love it, it's loaded with healthy fats, and protein to help stabilize blood sugar levels and keeps me satiated until my next meal. It's also vitamin and mineral rich from leafy greens and fruit.
One handful of walnuts (loaded with healthy fats, fibre and protein) with a cup of green tea.
Lots of vegetables (always gotta make sure those leafy greens are in there), with grated carrot, beetroot, boiled eggs, quinoa, avocado.
Chicken & Broccoli Cabbage Wraps . These little gems are super light and refreshing. This recipe is bursting with beneficial nutrients and is easy and quick to make. It's also a great recipe to make ahead of time, you can make the chicken and broccoli mixture up in advance then store it in the fridge for 2-3 days until you are ready to use it. On my workout days I'll add some brown rice or sweet potato to this recipe.
