This NZ summer has been so hot and recently very humid, so all things cold are in order! Whenever I need a refreshing and cooling snack or dessert nice-cream are always high on my list. So if you're a dairy free ice-cream fan then you will love this way of satisfying your ice-cream cravings. You can also jazz this recipe up and make it a delicious banana chocolate treat by adding 2 tbsp raw cacao powder.
Ingredients - Serves 1
- 1.5 frozen organic bananas
- 1/3 cup coconut cream
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
For the Chocolate Sauce:
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
Method:
1. Simply add all the banana ingredients into a high speed blender and blend together until it forms a thick creamy consistency. Eat immediately, or place in the freeze for 1-2 hours for a firmer consistency.
2. To make the chocolate sauce add all ingredients into a small sauce pan and melt together over low heat, mix until well combined.
3. Pour the chocolate sauce over the banana and enjoy!
